"Sometimes in life there really are bonds formed that can never be broken. Sometimes you really can find that one person who will stand by you no matter what. Maybe you'll find it in a spouse and celebrate it with your dream wedding, but theres also the chance that the one person you can count on for a lifetime, the one person who knows you sometimes better than you know yourself is the same person who's been standing beside you all along." - Bride Wars

| Hello, beautiful. Long time no post, right? Right. I have been on the go constantly so I've not had much time to update. So I added a few extra pictures as a treat. ENJOY.
It’s like in the great stories - the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something, that there’s some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for. - Sam Gamgee +++ Avoid destructive thinking. Improper negative thoughts sink people. A ship can sail around the world many, many times, but just let enough water get into the ship and it will sink. Just so with the human mind. Let enough negative thoughts or improper thoughts get into the human mind and the person sinks just like a ship. - Alfred A. Montapert
Stuff your eyes with wonder, live as if you’d drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It’s more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories. - Ray Bradbury +++ You see, you closed your eyes. That was the difference. Sometimes you cannot believe what you see, you have to believe what you feel. And if you are ever going to have other people trust you, you must feel that you can trust them, too - even when you’re in the dark. Even when you’re falling. - Mitch Albom
There is no person in the world who is made to handle every punch that’s thrown at them. We aren’t made that way. In fact, we’re made to get mad, upset, sad, be hurt, stumble and fall. We aren’t supposed to be able to handle everything. But that’s what makes us stronger in the end, by learning from the things that hurt us most. - Unknown +++ Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness. - Robertson Davies
You are special. A blessing. A miracle. There is no other person like you in the world. You have the capacity for anything. Let your light shine. - Unknown +++ Millions and millions of years would still not give me half enough time to describe that tiny instant of all eternity when you put your arms around me and I put my arms around you. - Jacques Prévert
You can't give a hug without getting a hug. - Unknown +++ If you're angry at a loved one, hug that person. And mean it. You may not want to hug - which is all the more reason to do so. It's hard to stay angry when someone shows they love you, and that's precisely what happens when we hug each other. - Walter Anderson
I can't complain, but sometimes I still do. - Joe Walsh +++
Life is a mixed blessing, which we vainly try to unmix. - Mignon McLaughlin
Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. - Plato +++ It's important to our friends to believe that we are unreservedly frank with them, and important to friendship that we are not. - Mignon McLaughlin
No one has ever loved anyone the way everyone wants to be loved. - Mignon McLaughlin +++ What you can't get out of, get into wholeheartedly. - Mignon McLaughlin
People always think something's all true. - J.D. Salinger +++ I'm the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. It's awful. If I'm on my way to the store to buy a magazine, even, and somebody asks me where I'm going, I'm liable to say I'm going to the opera. It's terrible. - J.D. Salinger
I don't even know what I was running for - I guess I just felt like it. - J.D. Salinger +++ When I really worry about something, I don't just fool around. I even have to go to the bathroom when I worry about something. Only, I don't go. I'm too worried to go. I don't want to interrupt my worrying to go. - J.D. Salinger
It's funny. All you have to do is say something nobody understands and they'll do practically anything you want them to. - J.D. Salinger +++ Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody. - J.D. Salinger
Romance is dead. It was acquired in a hostile takeover by Hallmark and Disney, homogenized, and sold off piece by piece. - The Simpsons +++ Solitude never hurt anyone. Emily Dickinson lived alone, and she wrote some of the most beautiful poetry the world has ever known... then went crazy as a loon. - The Simpsons
Lisa, Vampires are make-believe, like elves, gremlins, and eskimos. - The Simpsons +++ Dawn seemed to follow midnight with indecent haste. - J.K. Rowling
Every man is more than just himself; he also represents the unique, the very special and always significant and remarkable point at which the world's phenomena intersect, only once in this way and never again. - Hermann Hesse +++
I don't say we all ought to misbehave, but we ought to look as if we could. - Orson Welles
Many people's tombstones should read, "Died at 30. Buried at 60." - Nicholas Murray Butler +++ We are wide-eyed in contemplating the possibility that life may exist elsewhere in the universe, but we wear blinders when contemplating the possibilities of life on earth. - Norman Cousins
He gave her a look you could have poured on a waffle. - Ring Lardner +++ Some secrets are fires so scorching, the only way to quench the burn is to tell someone. - Forrest Loremint
He not only overflowed with learning, but stood in the slop. - Sydney Smith +++ We see then how far the monuments of wit and learning are more durable than the monuments of power, or of the hands. For have not the verses of Homer continued twenty-five hundred years or more, without the loss of a syllable or letter; during which time infinite palaces, temples, castles, cities have been decayed and demolished? - Francis Bacon
A weak mind is like a microscope, which magnifies trifling things but cannot receive great ones. - Lord Chesterfield +++ You can't hold a man down without staying down with him. - Booker T. Washington
Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity. - George S. Patton +++ Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil and you're a thousand miles from the corn field. - Dwight D. Eisenhower
I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, while the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. - Isaac Newton +++ I have never for one instant seen clearly within myself. How then would you have me judge the deeds of others? - Maurice Maeterlinck
To say yes, you have to sweat and roll up your sleeves and plunge both hands into life up to the elbows. It is easy to say no. - Jean Anouilh +++ Every problem contains within itself the seeds of its own solution. - Edward Somers
The teenager seems to have replaced the Communist as the appropriate target for public controversy and foreboding. - Edgar Friedenberg +++ Violet will be a good color for hair at just about the same time that brunette becomes a good color for flowers. - Fran Lebowitz
Too many of today's children have straight teeth and crooked morals. - Unknown +++ What a shame that allowances have to stop with the teens: both those that are paid to us and those that are made for us. - Mignon McLaughlin
Sometimes it's more important to be human, than to have good taste. - Brecht +++ It's all right letting yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back. - Mick Jagger
Not using faults does not mean that one does not have them. - Antonio Porchia +++ There is no allurement or enticement, actual or imaginary, which a well-disciplined mind may not surmount. The wish to resist more than half accomplishes the object. - Charlotte Dacre -------------------------------------------------------- Is anyone else getting their results at the moment? Mine will be in my hands in about an hour. I am terrified because I am fairly certain I have failed, for various reasons. In the words of SATC, I think I might poughkeepsie my pants. :( Wish me luck. | Hello, butterflies. I am working on my book site so hopefully it will be up and running soon. I am happy, happy, HAPPY. I am learning that there are people in this world who are amazingly kind. People who enrich my life without seeking anything in return. How did I not see that there were so many beautiful people before? :) Notice some today.
Being brokenhearted is like having broken ribs. On the outside it looks like nothing’s wrong, but every breath hurts. - Greg Behrendt
+++
It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye. – The Little Prince
Laughter gives us distance. It allows us to step back from an event, deal with it and then move on. - Bob Newhart +++ I believe the choice to be excellent begins with aligning your thoughts and words with the intention to require more from yourself. - Oprah Winfrey
Feelings never do make sense. They get you all confused. Then they drive you around for hours before they drop you right back where you started. - Blair Waldorf +++ True love begins when nothing is looked for in return. - Antoine De Saint-Exupery
The more I know of the world, the more I am convinced that I shall never see a man whom I can really love. - Jane Austen +++ I believe that what you present to the world and what you are on the inside are two different things, and that you know that what you are on the inside is something that’s worth saving. - A Million Little Pieces
Cause even if it breaks your heart to be just friends, if you really care about someone, you’ll take the hit. - Scrubs +++ And I also know how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong but to feel strong. To measure yourself at least once. To find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions. Facing the blind death stone alone, with nothing to help you but your hands and your own head. - Into the Wild
Anyone can fly, all you have to do is throw yourself at the ground and miss. - Douglas Adams
+++
Your heart is free. Have the courage to follow it. - Braveheart

You can’t keep blaming yourself. Just blame yourself once, and move on. - Homer Simpson +++ Just for the record, she still loves you. She wouldn’t bother to torture you if she didn’t. - Chuck Palahniuk
I think that sometimes we love people so much that we become numb to it because if we actually felt how much we really loved them, it would kill us. That doesn’t make you a bad person, it just means your heart is too big. - Riding in Cars with Boys +++ Just for the record, she still loves you. She wouldn’t bother to torture you if she didn’t. - Chuck Palahniuk
We love it when we make mistakes that are better than something you could think up. - Wayne Coyne +++ When you grow up, your heart dies. - The Breakfast Club
It is sadder to find the past again and find it inadequate to the present than it is to have it elude you and remain forever a harmonious conception of memory. - F. Scott Fitzgerald +++ I am not going to sit on my ass as the events that affect me unfold to determine the course of my life. I’m going to take a stand. I’m going to defend it. Right or wrong, I’m going to defend it. - Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Things do not pass for what they are, but for what they seem. Most things are judged by their jackets. - Baltasar Gracian +++ All my best thoughts were stolen by the ancients. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
He who is allowed to do as he likes will soon run his head into a brick wall out of sheer frustration. - Robert Musil +++ Most people die at the last minute; others twenty years beforehand, some even earlier. They are the wretched of the earth. - Louis Céline
I suppose that everyone of us hopes secretly for immortality; to leave, I mean, a name behind him which will live forever in this world, whatever he may be doing, himself, in the next. - A.A. Milne +++ To understand any living thing, you must, so to say, creep within and feel the beating of its heart. - W. Macneile Dixon
Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it. - Ralph Waldo Emerson +++ We kill because we are afraid of our own shadow, afraid that if we used a little common sense we'd have to admit that our glorious principles were wrong. - Henry Miller
If a man could have just half of his wishes, he would double his troubles. - Benjamin Franklin +++ Before we set our hearts too much upon anything, let us examine how happy they are, who already possess it. - François Duc de La Rochefoucauld
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. - John Wayne +++ Myths and creeds are heroic struggles to comprehend the truth in the world. - Ansel Adams
Every problem contains within itself the seeds of its own solution. - Edward Somers +++ Sometimes the best helping hand you can get is a good, firm push. - Joann Thomas
There are times when forgetting can be just as important as remembering - and even more difficult. - Harry And Joan Mier
+++ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness." - Dave Barry
------------------------------------------- Comment and subscribe, you wonderful people. I love you all. :) I will comment back this time, I've just been so sleepy. | | |
| I am so bored that I made a hideout in a box and threw little sticks at my sister to annoy her. Maturity is dominant I see. Would anyone subscribe if I made another site dedicated to reading, with reviews and quotes and such? Hmm. Maybe a few pictures also. I think I may do it for my own benefit, even if no one else reads it. Let me know what you think?
Ever since happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you. - Hafiz of Persia +++ Blood is thicker than water, but love is thicker than blood. - Unknown
God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages. - Jacques Deval +++ And if you look a little closer, you'll see that if a person believes that life is terrible, they’ll constantly look for proof of this, to confirm their view of the world. They’ll find quotes and situations and events in their life and magnify them a hundred times. If a person believes that life is wonderful, they’ll look for the corresponding signage and behave in a similar manner to the previous person with their view of the world. Often, this is the same person on different days of the week. - I Wrote This For You
I’ve learned that nobody can do much without somebody else. You’ve got to have friends. - The Public Enemy +++ Be honest. We have the science, the technology, and the wealth. What we don't have is the will, and that's not a reason that history will accept. - Bono
God is not what you imagine or what you think you understand. If you understand you have failed. - Saint Augustine +++ You can't deny laughter; when it comes, it plops down in your favorite chair and stays as long as it wants. - Stephen King
There are things we do because we convince ourselves it would be better for everyone involved. We tell ourselves it’s the right thing to do, the altruistic thing to do. It’s far easier than telling ourselves the truth. - Jodi Picoult +++ Missing someone gets easier every day because even though it's one day further from the last time you saw each other, it's one day closer to the next time you will. - Unknown
Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night. - Edgar Allen Poe +++ We must not allow other people’s limited perceptions to define us. - Virginia Satir
No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other's worth. - Robert Southey +++ Can miles truly separate you from friends? If you want to be with someone you love, aren't you already there? - Richard Bach
In order to move on, you must understand why you felt what you did and why you no longer need to feel it. - The Five People You Meet In Heaven +++ I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now? - John Lennon
Sometimes on the way to what's supposed to happen, something even better happens. - Third Rock From The Sun +++ Often we allow ourselves to be upset by small things we should despise and forget. We lose many irreplaceable hours brooding over grievances that, in a year's time, will be forgotten by us and by everybody. No, let us devote our life to worthwhile actions and feelings, to great thoughts, real affections and enduring undertakings. - Andre Maurois
Strange how people who suffer together have stronger connections than people who are most content. - Bob Dylan +++ At every moment of our lives, we have one foot in a fairy tale and the other in the abyss. - Paulo Coelho
You know, I think that if parents would spend less time worrying about what their kids watch on TV and more time worrying about what's going on in their kids' lives, this world would be a much better place. - South Park +++ This was freedom. Losing all hope was freedom. - Chuck Palahniuk
If I could wake up in a different place, at a different time, could I wake up as a different person? - Chuck Palahniuk +++ On a large enough time line, the survival rate for everyone will drop to zero. - Chuck Palahniuk
You buy furniture. You tell yourself, this is the last sofa I will ever need in my life. Buy the sofa, then for a couple years you're satisfied that no matter what goes wrong, at least you've got your sofa issue handled. Then the right set of dishes. Then the perfect bed. The drapes. The rug. Then you're trapped in your lovely nest, and the things you used to own, now they own you. - Chuck Palahniuk +++ You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else, and we are all part of the same compost pile. - Chuck Palahniuk

Hunting is not a sport. In a sport, both sides should know they're in the game. - Paul Rodriguez +++ I ask people why they have deer heads on their walls. Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death. - Unknown +++ The human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it. - C.C. Scott -----------------------------------------------------------
So, what does everyone think to the book site idea? Hmm. I'll ponder it. Everything seems so trivial lately. I am happy but it's a struggle sometimes; I worry that I shall slip soon. Please comment and subscribe, it's my only entertainment. LOVE YOU ALL. | | |
| Hello, little gems. I am updating as promised. I have lots of lovely photos and treats for you, as long as you comment they will come really nice and snappily. And I assume that you do want them, yes yes? :) EMAIL BACK, PEOPLE. The silence is actually starting to hurt. "The silence depressed me. It wasn't the silence of silence. It was my own silence." - Sylvia Plath :|
My whole life is waiting for the questions to which I have prepared answers. - Tom Stoppard +++ I have figured for you the distance between the horns of a dilemma, night and day, and A and Z. I have computed how far is Up, how long it takes to get Away, and what becomes of Gone. I have discovered the length of the sea serpent, the price of priceless, and the square of the hippopotamus. I know where you are when you are at Sixes and Sevens, how much Is you have to have to make an Are, and how many birds you can catch with the salt in the ocean - 187,796,132, if it would interest you. - James Thurber
You purchase pain with all that joy can give, and die of nothing but a rage to live. - Alexander Pope +++ He who holds me by a thread is not strong; the thread is strong. - Antonio Porchia
It is known that there is an infinite number of worlds, but that not every one is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so if every planet in the Universe has a population of zero then the entire population of the Universe must also be zero, and any people you may actually meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination. - Douglas Adams +++ He who does not fill his world with phantoms remains alone. - Antonio Porchia
I wish I could have known earlier that you have all the time you'll need right up to the day you die. - William Wiley +++ No matter how fast light travels it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. - Terry Pratchett
Let your working ideas go for a picnic - sometimes the fresh air and ant bites are just what they need. Many great ideas were bitten a little at the beginning. - Carrie Latet +++ The only interesting answers are those which destroy the questions. - Susan Sontag
We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered. - Tom Stoppard +++ You are sad because they abandon you and you have not fallen. - Antonio Porchia
How strange to use "You only live once" as an excuse to throw it away. - Bill Copeland +++ Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. - M. Kathleen Casey

Driving down the wrong road and knowing it, the fork years behind, how many have thought to pull up on the shoulder and leave the car empty, strike out across the fields; and how many are still mazed among dock and thistle, seeking the road they should have taken? - Damon Knight +++ Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon. A happiness weapon. A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode softly - and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air. Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go cheap, either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest. And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination. - Robert Fulghum
The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature. - Joseph Campbell +++ Maybe you don't like your job, maybe you didn't get enough sleep, well nobody likes their job, nobody got enough sleep. Maybe you just had the worst day of your life, but you know, there's no escape, there's no excuse, so just suck up and be nice. - Ani Difranco
What a miserable thing life is: you're living in clover, only the clover isn't good enough. - Bertolt Brecht +++ If malice or envy were tangible and had a shape, it would be the shape of a boomerang. - Charley Reese
May I never be complete. May I never be content. May I never be perfect. Deliver me, Tyler, from being perfect and complete. - Chuck Palahniuk +++ In our nature, however, there is a provision, alike marvellous and merciful, that the sufferer should never know the intensity of what he endures by its present torture, but chiefly by the pang that rankles after it. - Nathaniel Hawthorne
A bodily disease, which we look upon as whole and entire within itself, may, after all, be but a symptom of some ailment in the spiritual part. - Nathaniel Hawthorne +++ I felt like a race horse in a world without racetracks or a champion college footballer suddenly confronted by Wall Street and a business suit, his days of glory shrunk to a little gold cup on his mantel with a date engraved on it like a date on a tombstone. - Sylvia Plath
According to Madam Pomfrey, thoughts could leave deeper scarring than almost anything else. - J.K. Rowling +++ We must try not to sink beneath our anguish, Harry, but battle on. - J.K. Rowling
I'll never get used to anything. Anybody that does, they might as well be dead. - Truman Capote +++ Memory is a complicated thing, a relative to truth, but not its twin. - Barbara Kingsolver
We're animals. We're born like every other mammal and we live our whole lives around disguised animal thoughts. - Barbara Kingsolver
+++ Why is it that only girls stand on the sides of their feet? As if they're afraid to plant themselves? - Barbara Kingsolver
It's surprising how much memory is built around things unnoticed at the time. - Barbara Kingsolver +++
Pain reaches the heart with electrical speed, but truth moves to the heart as slowly as a glacier. - Barbara Kingsolver
Why does a person even get up in the morning? You have breakfast, you floss your teeth so you'll have healthy gums in your old age, and then you get in your car and drive down I-10 and die. Life is so stupid I can't stand it. - Barbara Kingsolver +++ She seemed glad to see me when I appeared in the kitchen, and by watching her I began to think there was some skill involved in being a girl. - Harper Lee
It was times like these when I thought my father, who hated guns and had never been to any wars, was the bravest man who ever lived. - Harper Lee +++ As you grow older, you'll see white men cheat black men every day of your life, but let me tell you something and don't you forget it - whenever a white man does that to a black man, no matter who he is, how rich he is, or how fine a family he comes from, that white man is trash. - Harper Lee -----------------------------------------------------
Still no emails, even as I finish this. Sometimes, the world sucks. I mean, I'm going to go on having faith, but seriously. I am expecting like 5. Does no one check their email? Perhaps I need to remove myself from the keyboard more. Comment and subscribe, loves. I might update nice and quickly again. :) | | |
| I am going to see Harry Potter tonight. Yes, I know I took a while. I just think it'll be a disappointment. What did you all think to it? No photographs today, just images with words. I hope you like it. HELP ME THINK OF TO-DOS. :) Mwah.
I don’t doubt myself because of you. I feel like the best version of myself when I’m with you, and that makes me doubt everything else. - Keeping the Faith +++ The saddest kind of sad is the sad that tries not to be sad. You know, when Sad tries to bite its lip and not cry and smile and go, “No, I’m happy for you”? That’s when it’s really sad." - John Mayer
I’m always anxious thinking I’m not living my life to the fullest, y’know? Taking advantage of every possibility? Just making sure that I’m not wasting one second of the little time I have." - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind +++ Love isn't an act. It's a whole life. It's staying with her now because she needs you; it's knowing you and she will still care about each other when sex and daydreams, fights and futures- when all that's on the shelf and done with. Love-why, I'll tell you what love is: it's you at 75 and her at 71, each of you listening for the other's step in the next room, each afraid that a sudden silence, a sudden cry, could mean a lifetime's talk is over. - Brian Moore
I am lonely, yet not everybody will do. I don't know why, some people fill the gaps and others emphasize my loneliness. In reality those who satisfy me are those who simply allow me to live with my idea of them. - Anais Nin +++ If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition, or spirit, to save you from heartache. - Oprah Winfrey
You couldn’t just pick and choose at will when someone depended on you, or loved you. It wasn’t like a light switch, easy to shut on or off. If you were in, you were in. Out, you were out. To me, it didn’t seem complicated at all. In fact, it was the simplest thing in the world. - Along for the Ride +++ My hunger, my thirst, my loneliness and boredom and fear were all weapons aimed at my enemy, the world. They didn’t matter a whit to the world, of course, and they tormented me, but I got a gruesome satisfaction from my sufferings. They proved my existence. All my integrity seemed to lie in saying 'No'. - Girl, Interrupted
I don’t care if the whole world is against you or teasing you or saying you’re not gonna make it. Believe in yourself. No matter what. They laughed at the Wright brothers. They laughed at Thomas Edison. They laughed at Disney. Study the greats and become greater. - Michael Jackson +++ Ever since I was a little kid, like eight or nine, I could sort of control things with my mind. - Jim Halpert
We rarely recognize the significant moments in our lives while they’re happening. We grow complacent with ideas, things, people, and we take them for granted. It is usually not until that person or thing is taken away from you, that you realize how very special it is and how much it really means to you. Show the special people in your life you love them. Appreciate everything you have. Appreciate every precious moment. - Unknown +++ What’s your name,’ Coraline asked the cat. ‘Look, I’m Coraline. Okay?’ ‘Cats don’t have names,’ it said. ‘No?’ said Coraline. ‘No,’ said the cat. ‘Now you people have names. That’s because you don’t know who you are. We know who we are, so we don’t need names. - Coraline
And sometimes, we can fall in love with someone for all the wrong reasons, and still love them after all the hurt, because sometimes, and most times, we can’t pick who we love. And even though we know we shouldn’t love them, we do and always will, because there are just a small number of people in this world who will “get” us for reasons we can’t explain, even when they shouldn’t. - Arminda Meer
+++ You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you’ll escape it one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present. - Looking For Alaska
What you do, the way you think, makes you beautiful. - Uglies +++ Life is very interesting. In the end, some of your greatest pains, become your greatest strengths. - Drew Barrymore
If we can forgive what’s been done to us, if we can forgive what we’ve done to others. If we can leave all of our stories behind, our being victims and villains - only then can we maybe rescue the world. But we still wait here, while we’re still victims, waiting to be saved. Waiting to be discovered while we suffer. – Chuck Palahniuk +++ It was the kind of kiss that made me know that I was never so happy in my whole life. - Stephen Chbosky
Follow the spiders. Why couldn’t it be ‘follow the butterflies?’ - Ron Weasley +++ Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop. - Alice in Wonderland

'How can you talk if you haven’t got a brain?' asked Dorothy. 'I don’t know. But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking, don’t they?' answered the Scarecrow. - The Wizard of Oz
+++ Don't be flattered that he misses you. He should miss you. You're deeply missable. However, he's still the same person who just broke up with you. Remember, the only reason he can miss you is because he's choosing, every day, not to be with you. - He's Just Not That Into You
Nature never did betray the heart that loved her. - William Wordsworth +++ I want to be free of you… the way you, obviously, are free of me. - The Count of Monte Cristo
So, yesterday Dwight found half a joint in the parking lot. Which is unfortunate because, as it turns out, Dwight finding drugs is more dangerous than most people using drugs. - Jim Halpert +++ A man walks into a bar with a giraffe. They both get pissed. The giraffe falls over. The man goes to leave and the bartender says, “Oi. You can’t leave that lyin’ there.” And the man says, “No. It’s not a lion. It’s a giraffe". - 28 Days Later
Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet. - Bob Dylan +++ Praises for our past triumphs are as feathers to a dead bird. - Paul Eldridge
The Past lies upon the Present like a giant's dead body. - Nathaniel Hawthorne +++ Visitor's footfalls are like medicine; they heal the sick. - African Proverb
The chains of habit are generally too small to be felt until they are too strong to be broken. - Samuel Johnson +++ Ink smears, as thoughts sometimes do. - Emme Woodhull-Bäche
Her hearing was keener than his, and she heard silences he was unaware of. - D.M. Thomas +++ We are asleep with compasses in our hands. - W.S. Merwin
Two and two the mathematician continues to make four, in spite of the whine of the amateur for three, or the cry of the critic for five. - James McNeill Whistler +++ Fear is a cloak which old men huddle about their love, as if to keep it warm. - William Wordsworth
You're only as sick as your secrets. - Author Unknown +++ I believe if I should die, and you were to walk near my grave, from the very depths of the earth I would hear your footsteps. - Benito Perez Galdos --------------------------------------------------------------------------
